The presentations were made by Principal Graeme Pyle and Caroline Underwood, Scope’s Head of Education, followed by a buffet lunch in the main function room overlooking the new football pitch.

Learner achievements which were recognised included John Muir Award, ASDAN and Functional Skills certificates, Arts Award, swimming, work placement, horse riding and trampolining.

One parent described the event as “a day she would remember for the rest of her life”.

A combination of artwork made into costumes and costumes made specifically for the show created a highly original event. Garments were made from a combination of recycled and new materials, producing an interesting combination of textures. The opening number was the Beaumont Queenies performing to “I want to break free”. This set the scene for a fantastic, fun experience for audience and participants alike.

My age is 22 years
I live in my house with Chloe and Amy, my support workers are Michelle, Mandy and Suzanne. I go to Beaumont College with Chloe and Tom. My key workers are Gayle and Lotta.

I have been going to Beaumont College since September 2010.

Amy used to go to Beaumont College but has left now.

The subjects I enjoy are I T ,Film Making and Music.

I like to do the DJ spot at beatbox at college on a Thursday night.

I also do a halfhour show every week on Diversity FM.
